Fork, Commit, Merge - Easy Issue (TypeScript)

Fix a Greet Function in TypeScript

Note: You don't have ask permission to start solving the issue or get assigned, since these issues are supposed to be always open for new contributors. The actions-user bot will reset the file back to previous state for the next contributor after your commit is merged. So you can just simply start working with the issue right away!

Description

We have a function named greet which should take a string argument name and return a greeting message. However, the function is currently incomplete.

Here is the existing code:

function greet(name: string): string {
    // TODO: Add return statement
}

let user: string = 'John Doe';

console.log(greet(user));

Your task is to add the necessary return statement to the greet function so that it returns a greeting message. The function should return a string in the format Hello, [name]! where [name] is the value of the input argument.

How to get started

First, run npm i from the root of the project to get all the necessary dependencies.
Then, open the tasks/typescript/easy directory.
Once you have added the return statement to the greet function, you can test your solution with this command:

npx ts-node tasks/typescript/easy/index.ts

If your solution is correct, the command should output Hello, John Doe! in the console and you are ready to make a pull request!
