WSL integrated cert is going to expired #567
Comments
Thanks! I'd have to look up how to recreate or renew the cert, so I'm not going to do that right away, but we'll have to keep that in mind for the next release. Right now, the msixbundle isn't the recommended installation method anyway so I don't think it is all that urgent |
I think the CI is currently failing because of this |
Just bumped into this, maybe worth adding a note to the docs page for now? |
Since I added that page, I can create the PR for this later this week. If you want to use the msixbundle, even though it's not recommended at the moment, you can set system clock back to when the certificate was valid, install NixOS-WSL normally and after that restore the current time. |
given that MS just released a new package format for WSL distros without the need for a launcher, I'll probably just remove the msixbundle soon. That doesn't mean that I want to get rid of the launcher at the moment, but given that the recommended way of distributing WSL distros is no longer the Microsoft Store, I don't see a reason to deal with the certificate headache at the moment |
Downloaded the latest
NixOS-WSL-Launcher.msixbundle
