When following the standalone installation process here : https://nix-community.github.io/home-manager/index.xhtml#sec-install-standalone I run nix-channel --add https://github.com/nix-community/home-manager/archive/release-24.05.tar.gz home-manager followed by nix-channel update' and nix-shell '' -A install` and I get the following:
warning: You are using
Home Manager version 24.11 and
Nixpkgs version 24.05.
Using mismatched versions is likely to cause errors and unexpected
behavior. It is therefore highly recommended to use a release of Home
Manager that corresponds with your chosen release of Nixpkgs.
If you insist then you can disable this warning by adding
home.enableNixpkgsReleaseCheck = false;
to your configuration.
I clearly am not using 24.11, I specified 24.05 I even tried the process leaving out the nix-channel --update step but still 24.11 insists on being the version of home-manager.
Until this is fixed I can't install home manger. I suppose I could wait until Nixos 24.11 is released...
Are you following the right branch?
Is there an existing issue for this?
