After about two days the Chromecast starts to display the usual slideshow instead of castDeck. I recon this might be something that is done by the Chromecast itself and not by castDeck? In that case, is there anything we can do to keep the Chromecast awake and keep displaying castDeck forever?

you may want to have a look at https://github.com/rikkertkoppes/castDog

castDeck is just a client, castDog is somewhat more intelligent (but very rough around the edges)
