I would like to set tdrop to spawn a terminal with a y-offset of -800 or so (my screen is 768 pixels high) so that the titlebar is hidden. Is this possible?
Currently, if I specify a negative y-offset greater than the height of my screen it just goes to the very top instead of beyond that.
GNOME is a pain about starting applications without decorations, so this would be a lot simpler.

Tdrop currently uses negative values for a different purpose (e.g. -w -4 is 4 less pixels than the max) since it doesn't seem useful to have part of a window not be visible. It's possible to place windows above the screen, but if putting the window at 0 0 doesn't cover the titlebar, it may not work for GNOME. See #14. You can try running xdotool getactivewindow windowmove -- -1 -1 and let me know if that works.
