test: use tmpDir instead of fixtures in readdir
This patch - makes the test use tmp directory instead of the fixtures directory, - simplifies the code - moves the test to `parallel`. PR-URL: #2587 Reviewed-By: Rich Trott <rtrott@gmail.com>
