In previous io.js releases, when you install a new version the path is updated and an event is propagated in order to update currents open console.

#603

I just installed the new node 4.0.0 release and it doesn't seem to work. I closed en re opened a console and the new node version is correct. (it's just about the propagation )

Running cmd windows do not listen for a WM_SETTINGCHANGE event, so even if this is propagated you need to reopen the cmd. I think it works in prior io.js versions because the PATH did not change and so the running cmd worked. But nodejs 4.x changed the install path.

Good point. It will be easy to test this in next release.
