As an issue, for completeness and to track in the v1.0.0 milestone. Assigning to @mikeal, @Fishrock123 is also keen to lend a hand.

Need a place to announce the release, and a nice page for downloads would be neat too.

I'll see what I can do tonight and tomorrow (EST).

would be great to add it to https://github.com/iojs too, like in https://github.com/atom

I can help out on this too if needed. A few questions:

  • What content is required?
  • Are we shipping with the logo that @rvagg used for the OS X installer?
  • When is the release expected to drop? In other words, how soon should this be done?

  1. I'll make a list on the website issues and link you. It may be changed when @mikeal gets to it.
  2. Whatever logo gets chosen for the first release, by @piscisaureus I believe. The website should be logo-independant.
  3. Tomorrow. We need at very least announcements for when it is done. I'll be working tonight and hopefully tomorrow on this. I'll pass info when I can.

We'll have a logo per release :)

This means that the site should have a spot next to each release for the logo :)

Thanks all!

@mikeal A logo per release? Or a sub-brand per release? Like in Ubuntu/Android/etc... I think the main logo should remain across the releases. It is good for brand consistency.

Where this idea even came from?

Mikeal's head, although there is some disquiet about it so expect further discussion

Yes, please let's not do that. Just choose a logo and stick with it, using one per release is totally anti-user, anti-ecosystem and defeats the purpose of having a logo at all.
