My tricked-out license.md file isn't identifiable by github! So says the badge anyway.

Best case scenario:

  • license is formatted nicely with markdown
  • github and others identify the license as MIT

This license doesn't show up on GitHub's quick look when browsing repositories. It is necessary to change this so Git understands this; the workaround above isn't enough.
