Anybody got this working with Ionic?

Anybody get this plugin working with Ionic 2/3.

We had been using this plugin with our AngularJS app. Moving over to Ionic caused problems.
Ionic's deep linking plugin isn't supported anymore and they say to use a branch.io site and plugin.
I already have everything setup for this to work, not really looking forward to using branch.io.

The best solution for us is to get this plugin working with ionic. I don't really know the steps or where to even start (if its hard or easy to do). Hoping somebody already has this working.
