@flexiondotorg as always, your configurations, direction, etc. align extremely close to what I’m at times trying to solve.

I recently had reloaded my systems from Nixos due to requirements for security software at work.

Currently, I have mine configured using ansible as a stop gap (had an old repository and understood the soft), and was about to start introducing NIX into that build to transition out.

good chance I may just adopt what you’ve done already. Especially since on the podcast you mentioned having hooks to where I could still do native nix related stuff.
