Sorry it took so long to get back to you. All of our scripts use an absolute path for the .deb package. A package installation from the current directory without a fully qualified path should work, but do verify that the file is in the current path (in the screenshot, that appears to be the case, but if the desktop being displayed is not root's, then it is most likely incorrect). After verifying the file path is correct, verify the file hash against the FileHash.md file in the root of the GitHub repository. If the file was corrupted during download/transfer the hashes will not match and you will need to attempt the download/transfer again. Most often this is caused by a file transfer in text rather than binary mode, but there are all manner of issues that might cause problems.
If neither of those helps, it may be an issue related to permissions, but this is unlikely - still, to assist we would need to know the permissions and the version of Kali that you are using to attempt to reproduce the error on our end.
I am sure it is operator error but I am applying the desktop file verbatim and it shows no such file.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
