Problem with "distrod_wsl_launcher" (It doesn't continue when I press 2)

I'm having an issue with the Distrod installer. When I run it, it asks for an option to continue. If I press Enter (default option) or 2 (to "Download an image from linuxcontainers.org"), the program closes and does not show the distro options.

It appears this error has been happening for a couple months now, at least: #87

I found out that the issue occurs when you add the large version to your Kali. If you use the version from the Microsoft Store without the large expansion, the error doesn't occur. Another discovery I made is that there's a component you install which prompts you to change the WSL's Mac. If you choose not to, the error regarding access to the graphical interface doesn't happen.
