[V3] How to define local collection source outside the content directory?

Hi. I would like to define a collection with source files outside the ~/content directory. How can I do that? I didn't see any examples in the docs. Here's what I tried to do:

defineCollection({
	type: "page",
	source: {
		cwd: "submodules/articles_release",
		include: "**/*.md",
	},
})

I also tried to specify ../submodules/articles_release and ~/submodules/articles_release for the cwd property, but it didn't work.
