A lot of engines and tools have the added benefit of some kind of an asset library, whether it's done via the browser or a custom user interface. Added documentation regarding the authoring of shared assets could home in on such a feature.
Maybe individual creators could have profile pages similar to how one would through itch.io or alternatively have some kind of a decentralized server based solution. If for example someone wants to share something directly via a link through a Discord, they could package things up through some kind of a tool for this purpose.

We currently have some documentation that would aid in authoring and sharing assets:
An asset Gem and a remote Gem repository allows users to package up any assets they create and then share it. An asset Gem is essentially a Gem with an Assets folder containing the assets you want to share.
This seems like a feature request for a sort of community hub of shared assets. That would be a great idea to have. I think the appropriate sig to handle this is the sig-docs-community, so I'll transfer the issue there.
