The "selecting of a shape" has been mentioned a couple times, but never really worked out into detail.

When?

When clicking on a shape.
When hovering over a shape.

Functionality

When a shape is selected, its relationships are visible. This could be useful when a lot of shapes are visualized and the screen is cluttered with arrows.
When a shape is selected. its constraints and related properties are expanded and visible. Otherwise, only the name would be visible.
