A condition characterized by bleeding at or near the optic disc, visible as a flame-shaped or splinter hemorrhage on fundoscopic examination. Optic disc bleeding is a significant clinical marker in glaucoma, particularly normal-tension glaucoma, and is associated with disease progression. It may result from mechanical stress on the lamina cribrosa or vascular dysregulation.
