I don't know if anyone's still listening here, but here goes...
I've been trying rather unsuccessfully to use this library with Cygwin or MinGW. None of the precompiled .lib / .a files work (unsurprisingly), and I've been unable to find / patch (using this: http://www.step.polymtl.ca/~guardia/programming.php) the DirectShow headers so I could compile from scratch.
Is it possible for someone to compile lib files for DShow, provide lib files for Cygwin or MinGW, or provide properly patched DShow headers?

what version of GCC / MingGw are you using?
it might be worth checking the "network" tab of this project as some of the branches are more up to date and have the modifications you mentioned.
I was totally unaware that there are forks of this with minGW support! Sorry for bothering you. I'll come back here if those don't pan out... I was using the newest stable versions of everything, I'm not in that system right now so I can't tell you the precise versions.
