Please provide a proper working example in order that we understand how to implement this plugin.

Providing only sub class/handler snippets of code does help us.

This is an Open Source project with very limited resources - community contributions are encouraged.

If you are new to contributing on GitHub: writing missing documentation is a great place to start, with the added bonus of helping you to understand how the code works.
