this could involve

  • verifying that two sets of metadata (for example, one in GCS and one on the local filesystem) are the same
  • checking a bundle on disk against the metadata in .datamon/, including re-computing hashes
  • verifying the existence of hashes in the GCS blob store for all entries in a bundle's metadata
