WACCM (Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model) is a global atmospheric model developed and maintained by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in the United States. It is designed to simulate the entire vertical extent of Earth's atmosphere, from the surface up to approximately 500 kilometers (the upper boundary of the atmosphere). WACCM incorporates modeling of various chemical, physical, and dynamical processes in the atmosphere, allowing it to simulate climate variations, climate oscillations, and spatial weather phenomena such as solar radiation changes, greenhouse gas emissions, and the dynamic distribution of ozone. It is widely used for research in atmospheric science, climate change, and space weather. It would be very useful to introduce it into open-data and open-meteo, especially in air pollution forecast.

Thanks for the suggestion. The WACCM seems to be using a 0.9x1.25° grid. This resolution is very course. Open-Meteo is mostly using high-resolution models (0.25°x0.25° and better) to provide local forecasts.
