Dear maintainers,

We are looking into the processor/metricsgenerationprocessor for calculating composite metrics on collector level and this seems to be our only option( we though to calculate in prometheus but there is not way to take them after with the collector and send them wherever we need) but this looks to be alpha in development and not for production use. This status haven't changed in a while and this processor is already in the wild for an year. Do you know what is the current status of it and if its going to be promoted to beta?
