Which version of the demo you are using?

v1.4

Symptom

What is the bug?

There seems to be a misunderstanding with the metrics naming in the OpenTelemetry Collector dashboard. It appears that the dashboard is not using the latest metrics naming, causing confusion. It is suggested that it might be beneficial to decommission it in favour of users to the newer Opentelemetry Collector Data Flow dashboard.

What is the expected behavior?

The OpenTelemetry Collector dashboard should be decommissioned and users should be directed to use the Opentelemetry Collector Data Flow dashboard, which reflects the latest metrics naming.

What is the actual behavior?

Users are referring to the outdated OpenTelemetry Collector dashboard, which is leading to misunderstandings and incorrect metrics naming.

Reproduce

To reproduce this issue:

  1. Open the OpenTelemetry Collector dashboard.
  2. Compare the metrics naming with the metrics naming on the Opentelemetry Collector Data Flow dashboard.

Additional Context

The related documentation for the Opentelemetry Collector Data Flow dashboard is found at (here).
