Custom handle failure sending data

I'm trying to use Open Telemetry.Exporter.OpenTelemetryProtocol telemetry and send traces to tempo
When I use a local tempo, everything is fine. But when I use the remote tempo, I may have problems reaching the tempo, sometimes I get errors (timeout, 404 not found). And I want to look at the error logs and have a custom handler for such errors. How to do it?
