What happened? Describe the problem that occurred.

Mermaid graph error appear like a bellow image in contributing/pull-requests page.

What did you expect would happen? Describe the expected result/output.

It is because missing parsing period like not 1\. but 1. .

Bellow article is my fixed Mermaid graph.

I want to create a PR.
Thank you.

What is the name + path of the page where you encountered the issue? The
relative path and page title where you found a problem.

contributing/pull-requests page.
Page title is Submitting content.

What browser, OS, and platform were you using when you encountered the
problem?
Include the browser version if you know it as well.

Google Chrome on mac.
