Project Title: Automatic tuning of systems per workloads to contribute to Zero Touch system story

Description: We're considering tuned for the automatic system tuning. The technology exists but what's missing is the extensive work on the tuned policy side and when to set update/the policy. The technology is not set in stone.

Deliverable: System applies one of the maintained performance policies to the host based on the intended type of worklows (or dynamically). Research of what profiles are we missing or are in a bad shape is part of the project. As well as enablement of the technology by default on openSUSE Distributions.

Mentor: Who is the mentor? Who is the Co-Mentor? Also please assign the issue to the mentor!

Skills: Interest in system tuning for specific usecases, knowledge of tuned, interest in power management
Skill Level: Medium

Get started: Tasks that mentors may want to suggest students so that they can start contributing to the code base (e.g. junior jobs, low hanging fruits, discussion on the mailing list)

Initial feedback is that it might not be a good fit for GSoC. Can I please get more feedback whether you see it as a fit or not?

Hello @lkocman, I came across this project in Gsoc 2023 under openSUSE and it seems quite interesting to me.

I believe that this project will provide me with an opportunity to learn new skills, work with a team of experienced developers, and contribute to a valuable open-source project. Additionally, I am excited about the opportunity to participate in the GSoC program, gain valuable industry experience, and build a strong network of contacts.

Hi @lkocman - hope you're doing great!

I'm interested in this project and I have decent experience with tuning on Android devices (userspace and kernel) and have been using openSUSE full-time for the past 6 months. I am personally trying out something to tune openSUSE specifically to suit my laptop.
