Introduce "/clear" command or change the way "/new" works

Could we make Codex behave like Claude Code by automatically scrolling to the top when the /new command is invoked? Additionally, when Codex starts, could it clear the terminal and begin at the top? I believe this would noticeably improve the user experience.
