are you using the master branch or 1.5.5.1.

1.5.5.1 has google checkout disabled!

I am using 1.5.5.1 (January 22, 2013)
I am using exactly what I have downloaded from the site.
Even if I remove from cart.tpl the errors still display in admin.

google checkout does not appear in under admin > extension > payment

wasting my time.

I thought that here I will find official support! It appears that I know OpenCart better than others.
The issue is not located in the Admin (obviously that the Google Checkout module does not exist in Admin).
The issue is in the .php files.
Anyway I solved the issue for myself.

This is happening on a default install of 1.5.5.1 from the OpenCart download page.

The Google Checkout button is displayed in the Shopping Cart

There is no payment method in admin for it.

Certainly this is a bug
