I notice in MongoDBQueryUtils.java that the default sort is descending. I assume there was a use case for this? Or can we make the default ascending?
Should we throw an error if a user tries to sort by a value we are not expecting? I see that the IF statement checks for valid values for "ascending", but if none are found it just defaults to DESC.
