it's possible to set colors (attach color names to element properties), but not possible to remove the mapping. so eg if you had a border mapped, but then don't need that border anymore but rather an inner shadow, theme swapping won't work anymore. deleting the border doesn't work neither. the only workaround was replacing the layer with a new one.
