to encourage participation, the repo should have a contributing page (and reference it in readme) on how to contribute.
Does the group use a fork&pull approach or rebase?

The contributing page should either directly contain governance info or it should reference a GOVERNANCE.md page. How are contributions reviewed (ie explain OCA wg meetings open to all)? Who are project maintainers? etc

Excellent request. Would anyone on the ontology project like to spend some time developing these artifacts?
