What

According to Test Achats:

  • S: 43-53g
  • M: 53-63g
  • L: 63-73g
  • XL: 73g+

Computation

  • Use the weight + Label of caliber to compute probable number of eggs
  • Use the weight + number of eggs in quantity or product name to compute probable caliber

Display

  • Add a specific field with the number of eggs

  • Высшая: 75+ g
  • Отборная: 65-74.9 g (or 65 to almost 75 g, i.e. 26999 / 360, same with the other ".9" values)
  • Первая (1): 55-64.9 g (or 55 to 23399 / 360)
  • Вторая (2): 45-54.9 g
  • Третья (3): 35-44.9 g

In practice, what we know (and what is written on the package) is the number of eggs, and their class. The weight is never on the package (it varies, the caliber gives only a range).

So the following use cases are not possible (there's no weight) and not needed (we have the number of eggs and caliber):

  • Use the weight + Label of caliber to compute probable number of eggs
  • Use the weight + number of eggs in quantity or product name to compute probable caliber

What would be possible is to compute the estimated weight of the eggs contained in the package, but the use case for that is quite limited (possibly to quantify food intake if we let people says they have eaten 2 eggs).

So I would be in favor of closing this bug.
