What is everybody going to be working on? #1

At Ecere, we will be trying to implement server-side rendering as per the Maps specs, also available as Tiles. Additionally, we are planning to also integrate complex (yet simple) distributed workflow processing capabilities from our Modular OGC API Workflows project. We are hoping to discuss that approach for the Maps API itself receiving a style (or an execution document) to render complex maps for which a URL query would not be well suited, and potentially demonstrate this as well with a simple POST request. We suggested this advanced conformance class in opengeospatial/ogcapi-maps#42. |
CubeWerx has been involved in the development of the various OGC API specifications. In an effort to make sense of them all, and to shake out the details and the missing pieces, we've implemented a test service at https://test.cubewerx.com/cubewerx/cubeserv/demo/ogcapi/Daraa which we are constantly updating as the specifications evolve. We're offering this service for use during the sprint to use as a proof-of-concept implementation of the "OGC API - Maps" and "OGC API - Tiles" specifications and their integration within an OGC API framework. I encourage participants (especially client-side implementers) to experiment with our service implementation and provide feedback. I'll be present for both days of the sprint to demonstrate our implementation and to help work out some of the evolving details of the specifications. I may also be able to adapt our implementation within the timeframe of the sprint to explore some of the directions discussed during the sprint. |
We are already working on extending the OGC API tiles MiraMon server into a OGC API map MiraMon server. Some implementation will be done prior the event ans some additional work will be done during the event. Nuria is working on this around the clock |
I hope to revise the GeoPackage Provisioner that was developed in VTP2 so that it acts as an OGC-API-Maps client. It is a client, but not a web client. In VTP2, this was very helpful in testing server implementations. |
At Geobeyond, I'll be expanding the work done (geopython/pygeoapi#419 not yet ready for merge) in pygeoapi for "OGC API - Tiles" to support "OGC API - Maps" with MapTiles implementation for vector tile data only at the moment. |
I plan to do some work on a client. How well that works out depends on the time zone problem. |
