Paypal outside an rails application

At oddb.org the paypal gem is used outside a Rails application.
To make it work, it needed an
require 'active_support/core_ext/class/attribute_accessors'
in /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.9.1/gems/paypal-2.0.0/lib/notification.rb
