The Linux Foundation announced the launch of the OpenSearch Software Foundation here.

Transfer the various responsibilities/processes/content to the new OpenSearch Software Foundation.

I had a word with GitHub and they are unable to transfer a organization from one Enterprise to another. I suspect the transfer will involve moving OpenSearch out of the Amazon Enterprise (possibly turning off some features), then adding LF staff as Owners and they can then take care of moving it into the LF's management processes.
