When forking we removed integrations sections since it had a lot of stuff that we don't have up to date information for or if they were compatible with OpenSearch Dashboards.

Then #2684 removed the section that linked to integrations.

TODO:

  • Do we want to have a replacement here?
  • If we do want to update this section with latest details, then we should undo the work that hid it.

Historically, this was removed because the integrations references stored artifacts that we did not own (and did not exist). For example, the in-app documentation explained to install this integration, the user must run these commands which would reference a zip would be stored in a S3 bucket that doesn't exist (or we don't have access to).

At the time of the fork and renaming, we just replaced these paths but that caused the links not to exist. Also, at the time we didn't have the bandwidth nor the resources to host replacements.

However, now we store release artifacts in S3 that we could potentially work with the opensearch-build team to host in a public manner so that we have replacement links for the integrations section. The work involved would be generating the artifacts to hand over to the build team.
