There was a meeting of OSA on Feb 27th (tweet ad). We definitely need regular such meetings. This one was recorded, and action items will be forthcoming. I want to check two things quickly:

  1. We used Zoom - I have a paid account via UCL. It allows recording to the cloud. Here's the info it provides on sharing the meeting, if someone could please confirm that the playback works?

Topic: Open Source Antibiotics
Date: Feb 27, 2020 12:59 PM London

Meeting Recording:

This will need to be installed as a link somewhere on the wiki so that people can find previous meetings easily. This leads to:

  1. How best to keep these recordings online. I had assumed one could share Zoom recordings to somewhere like Youtube, which might aid in their discovery and in "permanence through degeneracy", i.e. it's good to back things up to multiple places. To do this transfer to Youtube requires downloading the recording (300MB) and uploading it. Doable, though annoying. Any thoughts or preferences?

This page implies that even paid accounts have a fairly low storage capacity for holding meeting recordings in the cloud, so it looks like porting across to YouTube might be the best way forward. Would increase visibility, for sure.
Sigh.
@fidiris @danaklug could you please, in the meantime, check that the above link works and you can view the meeting? Could you please extract action items from the meeting and post below? Maybe divvy up the hour into two lots of half hours to break up the burden here? I'm keen we keep a careful note of what needs to be done (and who agreed to it) so that we can use that as the basis of the next meeting. I will look into uploading the meeting to YouTube, from my own account for the moment, since I don't think we yet have an Open Source Antibiotics account or Gmail address.

I can view the meeting just fine (I am on the UCL network but I assume that doesn't really matter). @fidiris and I will put together a summary/action items list on Google docs and post later today.

@fidiris and I have updated the wiki with a meeting summary including action items here:
