During recent cleanup of bogus data around the south pole i discovered a significant amount of data apparently generated by iD. See for example the changesets:

I don't know if and how this can be reproduced but wanted to let you know about the problem. Maybe it would be good to look over the code where coordinates are changed (like for example when you move features) and add checks/constraints there to avoid things being moved out of the editable area.

Weird, in all cases longitude looks right but latitude is -89.something. I have no idea..
