I clicked on an object which was only tagged as amenity=recycling, but the edit feature box said it was a "recycling container".
I'm sure I remember in the past there was a field which allowed you to select whether this was recycling_type=centre or container. In fact, it looks like it was removed at the beginning of the year: 83f135f
I'd like to suggest this recycling_type combo is recreated, and added to an unsearchable recycling preset. That way any recycling objects which do not already have a recycling_type can easily be tagged with one. Otherwise it's not going to be obvious for any editors that a useful tag is missing.
