background info no longer tracks background choice

This stopped working as expected in 2.15.3 (or maybe 2.15.2, I know it worked in 2.15.1 and think it worked in 2.15.2).

Bring up background info with shift-ctrl-B. Switch to a different background. What used to happen is the background info would change to reflect the new background. This no longer happens.

Workaround is to close the background info and re-open it. Sub-optimal if you're flicking between backgrounds to find the most recent in order to find if something has been removed or added since the clearest of the backgrounds was taken.
