iD should display Geofabrik’s OSM Inspector service as one or more data layers accessible from the Map Data panel, similar to the existing integrations with KeepRight (#5201), ImproveOSM (#5739), and Osmose (#7095).

OSM Inspector’s WMS layers have been excluded from iD since 53d8a30, probably because some of the layers are unactionable without a feature inspector or even a legend. Fortunately, OSM Inspector also provides a Web Feature Service endpoint that comes with both geometries and issue metadata. I’m unsure how much it differs from the endpoints exposed by the other services.

Wonder if there could be some way of linking to the OSM inspector website when this layer is turned on, or in the background list dropdown?

Because with osmose for example, if you click on an issue there's a link to the osmose site in the bottom left - that way you can find out more about the error and decide what needs fixed.

Especially as OSM inspector will be a simple overlay, so you can't click on an individual error to find out more.

This issue is about an interactive integration with OSM Inspector, similar to the one for Osmose, not just a simple overlay.
