  • Linux Mint, zfs-2.2.2-0ubuntu9
  • root partition is NOT on ZFS
  • additional ZFS Pool,which contains user-created ZFS file systems

See title, so:

  • zfs mount and umount should work without sudo (provided that these zfs actions are "zfs allowed" for the user)
  • (out of scope here:) consequently/ideally, also Mint's Nemo file explorer is then also able to do mounts/umounts via the UI (which currently fails with the message like "only adminstrator can execute mount") - but maybe that would also require an adaption....

How will this feature improve OpenZFS?

Improved/consistent usabiliy Linux.
