Hi, we would like to use OpenTelemetry/Zipkin to monitor our >60,000 monthly Java batch jobs.

Some of these jobs may take up to 72 hours to complete, with some spans taking over an hour.

We could gain a great insight if we can see the spans within the jobs as they execute rather than after completion and linked to their parents(s) who are also in-flight.

I would like to add this support in Zipkin and I'm fairly confident I can do it, but I'm asking for your opinion and support.
