Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The default search in the web interface is currently a bit weak. It only seems to be searching for the items in the tree view on the left while the sections/their contents (input fields) are seemingly completely ignored. For example:
Searching for "DNS servers" or even "Networking" will yield nothing although both do clearly exist.
Again, searching for SSH, Shell, Secure Shell or Console will find absolutely nothing. For newbies like me it is not obvious that these things are under System/Settings/Administration...
Describe the solution you like
Make the search also include the sections of individual pages (Netowrking, Secure Shell, Console...) and their fields (DNS servers, SSH Ports). It helps you quiet a bit when you are new and it greatly enhances the overall user experience (you do not have to click through the tree menu all the time).
Possible behavior:
When I search for "Secure Shell". I will get something like "System / Settings / Administration > Secure Shell : Secure Shell server" or something along those lines as one of the results
Or when I search for "SSH". I will get "System / Settings / Administration > Secure Shell : SSH Port" in the search results...
Describe alternatives you considered
Googling where even the most basic things are and clicking my way through them using the tree menu. It surely is possible, but it sucks ;)
The ideal situation for me would be If you could just navigate with search and keep that pesky oversized side tree menu collapsed all the time...
Additional context
To provide further examples, I am coming from Tp-Link and this is something they have done quiet nicely...
brings me here. The same goes, for example for "SSID" as a search query...
