Add spotlight experience to the lessons and revision tab by highlighting them, and describing their usage to the user. When the user first enters the topic screen, show a spotlight on the lessons tab. When the user makes some progress in their lesson, i.e., after they complete at least three cards, show a spotlight on the revision screen when they re-enter the topic screen.
