No way to disable on a list item

It seems I cannot disable the extension in lists items:

Supported formats:

- JSON: see this and that.

It will render as a note admonition with Json as title.
If I add a space before the dash or after it, nothing changes 😕

Ummm yes, this is a huge oversight in the design :(

I don't have any ideas how to solve this (in terms of design) right now.

Nothing:

Admonition:

I have no other ideas other than requiring the angle bracket inside lists and other situations. Which exact situations - that I still haven't explored.
