As @jperedadnr kindly reported on #3336 (comment) #3336 (comment) the new improved resource support (#3315) causes problems on Windows.

This needs to be fixed with high-priory as the fix also needs to go into 21.2.

Note that @jperedadnr s PR did not have issues with Windows. Maybe it can serve as a reference in fixing this issue.
