#32 brings one interesting question for the Governance of the project. We don't have the process for stepping down or moving to emeritus defined. As @jdolitsky points in the issue, his interests have changed, and it is an honorable thing for his side to step down. However, it is not clear what steps he should take to move himself to emeritus status. Also, it is not clear what steps the community needs to take to fill the vacant position.
We need to clarify the process and criteria of how contributors can climb up the contribution ladder as well as step down. Filing this issue to have a discussion about this.

The GOVERNANCE doc is not very explicit what are the steps for the community to take when somebody steps down. Should the seat be backfilled? What is the process to backfill that seat etc.?
