When the tool opens and the splash screen is closed, an option to "Click to restore the map extent and layers visibility where you left off." is offered. If possible, it would be helpful to turn off this feature. If it's not possible - no biggy :)

(btw - note the use of "splash screen"! I might finally be learning some of the fun tech lingo!)
