Code for Vegas was, at one time, a part of Code for America. It was a different time and in the distant past, and the world is very different now, as is that other organization.

Not only are we not affiliated with Code for America in any way (other than historically, which is a fact), but we have been considering a re-brand for some months now to go along with our Forkening approach to resonating with different parts of our communities. Our visible outer entrances for Coders and Creators can be backed not by this legacy named foundation, but a freshly-named foundation which can itself resonate with our City and the people in and around it.

This is important to you, and so we are mentioning this now, because if you happen to have any repository clones or other worktrees or anything that depends on the name of this organization and its url being right where you left it, be advised that very soon that will not be the case!

If you have any questions are wish to be notified prior to the change-over, please send an email to info+namechange@codeforvegas.org and indicate whether you would like to be notified, or if you have questions, or both, or something else along these lines.

Note also that our domain name will be changing in accordance with the name change, so do send this request sooner rather than later! OR, check back here and we'll post immediately prior to the name/org/url change. Say a day or two of notice.
